A Mission with Habitat for Humanity

We have been very proud of our being involved with Habitat for Humanity since 1987. We send several mission trips a year to build houses and connections within our faith community.

When our hearts are changed and we join our hands and vision with others, we can change the world. One nail at a time, one volunteer hour at a time, we are working toward decent housing for all of God’s children.

2024 Habitat Trips

Habitat Trip – This summer’s habitat trip will take place from June 9 - 14th at Red Wing, MN. Please stay tuned or let the church office know if you are interested. We take anyone who has finished their Freshman year in High School or older.

Please watch for a sign-up sheet located in the parking lot entrance to let us know you plan to participate or contact the office by email: office@peace-ucc.org.

2025 Young Adult Habitat Trip

January 3rd-11th we will return to Winston-Salem North Carolina to work with the local Habitat Affiliate. We would welcome anyone who considers themselves “young adult” (college age to mid-30’s?") to come and be a part of a great way to get the New Year started. Hello from Frankfurt, Indiana! Our high school youth habitat group worked hard with the local Habitat for Humanity Affiliate. The construction of a brand new home progresses with the faithful sharing of many hands and hearts!

Our Young Adult Habitat Trip - 2019

We took a group of college aged volunteers from our church to New Orleans from January 2nd through January 11th to work with the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. It was an extraordinary opportunity to start a New Year caring for neighbors whom we’d never met.
